For those in the park that remember Ethel and Dale Mix, Dale is very ill and with hospice. After 71 years together Ethel will have a big adjustment. Please pray for them.

Well it finally quit raining and we have extensive flooding. My gosh I thought we were going to have to build an ark. It rained from Thursday thru Sunday. The tornado struck the building where my grandson works. They did have some problems with the building but also extensive damage outside to trees and other things like their picnic area. Thank God it hit on the weekend when everyone was gone and no one was hurt. No rain in the forecast now for the next week so maybe we will dry out

Clyde and Lee have decided to rent there place out this winter. Call Gail for detail. Also, There is a rumor going around the park that Pat and Sue Janssen have sold out and are moving here permanently. FALSE... I emailed Sue. They have not sold. This summer they spent time in a cabin/ cottage, but they intend to KEEP there up north place. Sue said they are going to TX for a visit then be down here in Nov. I think maybe when someone was reading the message board, They saw something Sue wrote and then saw something Janice Jackson wrote... saying they has sold and are here permanently and got mixed up. Now we know.

Clyde and Lee ask that I put something on the web site about them and there plans. They are here now for a week, This winter they have plans to go to Las Vegas to stay for 5 months to see what it is like to be locals for the winter. NO THERE PLACE HERE IF NOT FOR SALE AND NO THEY WILL NOT BE RENTING IT OUT. This has been a dream of their for a while now and they hate to leave us here, but this way they will be fulling an adventure and a dream to see what it is like. We wish them good luck, but we hate to see them go.

Having never been to Ruskin before I'm wondering where do people shop for groceries and other "goodies" and how far from the park do you have to travel to find them? I'm starting to count the weeks before I start on my new adventure! Our summer hasn't been great so Florida has an extra appeal this year!

I am only allowed one message board, I know that not everyone has a computer, so we would still have to put the ad at the mail hut. I will do some more checking with tip top web site, who our site is through. I will let you know thanks for the in put.

Hey I think the ad page is a good idea. If it was set up like the message board where we could post our own it would be less work for you. But there may be people who do not have a computer that might want to utilize it also

Bonnie and Gene Rouston put on a break brunch, All very good. the talk of the day was pancake puffs that Bonnie made and put blueberries in them. They did a great Job and Betty Channey helps in the kitchen also. Wonderful brunch. If you went home hungry, shame on you.

Old Fashion Pot Luck put on by Ruth L. and Chuck S. This was the best old fashion pot luck I've ever been to. I sat with my Husband, Willie and Chuck and Gail sat some where else, I thought we was the last table because of the managers.... well as it turns out... Its Willie, I know its not me!!!! LOL. People brought lots of food and when we got up there being the last table again!!!! We still had plenty of food. a HUGE variety. We have some darn good cooks in this park! Great Job to all.
