Hi everyone! We arrived safely home after a great trip - no problems with traffic and missed all the bad weather. Have had a very busy weekend with all the grand kids (9) A real awakening to the fact that we are back and the schedule is much different! Still a bit of snow in our yard,. Miss being at Chula already!! Police with assault rifles at the border - not looking for us though!! My surgery date has been moved up for my hips so I have three weeks to prepare meals and organize the house for the six weeks afterwards of restrictions! Praying for Phil and Sheila,a long road ahead.love to all.

Just got back home from helping with the Sunburst Run which is sponsored by Osthemo Township of which my daughter-in-law is the organizer. I want you to know that my toes, fingers, legs and every other part of my body are frozen. It SNOWED last night and there was still a little sprinkling of it on the ground this morning at 6:30 a.m. Thank God for my daughter-in-law that is living with us. She had HOT coffee and sandwiches ready for us when we got home. My grandson Zach helped also. Hope all is going well down there. I'm sure I will be able to thaw out before the Chulavista Picnic in July but you never know. Take care all.

Hi, chula family. Hope all are doing well. we have been back north for 2 weeks now, still have snow up here, lots and lots of rain and very little sunshine!!! We definitely came back too soon, but Gary is scheduled for cataract surgery on Wednesday, hope it all goes well for him so we can go do the turkey hunting/ shopping thing. Thanks to everyone who helps to make it so much fun down there!!

Oooops. Forgot to include my e-mail address. Also, if you snowbirds were on my e-mail list for last summer, you are still included. The exception would be if your e-mail address has changed.

Well, it's summertime at Chulavista, despite what the calendar date says. The heat is on!!! With summer comes a shift in the newsletter. We'll have 3 editions: May-June, July-August, and September-October. The first edition has a deadline of Monday, April 29th. Please be sure to get those articles to me in time for publication. Also, we'll return to pick-up mode for the summer publications. A stack of newsletters will be available in the clubhouse with each edition. Be sure to claim your copy. For those of you snowbirds who wish to receive the summer newsletters, e-mail me with your current e-address. I'll place your name on my goup list, and you'll receive a color copy by e-mail. Thanks for your help and patience.

We left on Easter Sunday for Ohio and it was the worst traffic we have ever seen on 75!! Got thru Atlanta ok but after that it was stop and go on 75 until we bailed across the border of TN. Next day FOG. Had to wait til 10 a.m. before we could see. Stopped at Hazard KY to see daughter and that was GREAT. Enjoyed the visit. Came home from there thru Ashland KY and up the river to Portsmouth and much better driving. Everything is blooming here and Jim is happy about that. Miss everyone, Dottie and V-ball, Dave, lavonne and gang at Shuffleboard, love you all, see you in the Fall.
