Good morning! Just a reminder that the next newsletter deadline is December 24th, Christmas Eve. The newsletter will then be passed the weekend of New Years. Be sure to get your articles to me by the deadline. There's lots going on in January, so we should have an interesting publication. Thanks so much for all your help. Oh, I also have all my delivery persons lined up. Thanks!

Thanks very much for all who attended the dance on Saturday night and also for everyone who pitched in to help clean up the kitchen. David and I appreciated it. Paul and Shirley were surprised at the park's generosity and were glad everyone enjoyed their music. "Just Friends" came with their own music schedule and it was awfully hard for them to venture too far away from it. Some had requests for cha cha's, and more waltz's and they can certainly fulfil those in the future. They are a Rock and Roll band of the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's and I think all that attended will agreed the oldies sounded really good. Here are just a few of pictures I took...Janice

June Bongers and I had a little something special going on. I have and will dearly miss her. Like Renee said she barked, and when she barked you had better not be in the way. The first time I realy met her was at bingo, she was barking. The next time I was at bingo I went up to her and gently pushed her out of my way, she turned around tight fisted set it on top of my head and said you little shit do you know who you are pushing. Quietly, I said yes I do get the hell out of my way. She started laughing so hard she could harly contain herself. We became fast friends.I remember her well. There are many of us that can tell some good stories. She had mouth like a BUCK and a heart of a DOE. loved her dearly.

Ruth Lowery just called with some bad news, a very well known former resident June Bongers past away 2 days ago. She will be missed, She was like a drill sargent, when she talked you listened... When Willie and I first moved in here, She came over she lived in lot 7. Put a head lock on Willie and said you will be going to the next pot luck. She was like the unoffical Mayor of Chulavista. She was gruff with a heart of gold. Karl her husband and her were very involved in the park I was sad to them go. June will live in the hearts of many of the Chula Family... God bless and remember Karl and her family in your prayers

I added things to the voulunteers wanted section. This park runs on a lot of volunteers... If it wasn't for Clyde and Lee we would not have had a very nice Thanksgiving Dinner or Lynn and Sue for Christmas. As well as the many other actitives that people host and have in this park Thank you to all who pitch in and help. You all deserve a huge BIG HAND and a debt of Thanks. God bless you all !! that is why living in this park is so GREAT!

Dottie, all name tags that were not picked up at the Thanksgiving dinner, were put in the park mail yesterday and addressed to Sue Janssen. I've asked her to put them out at the Xmas dinner so people can pick them up. We should be up to date with all new people and everyone should have one. The ones not picked up will have to be hand delivered, but I found that difficult because most weren't down yet. Thanks, Janice

Well its finally here. The "S" word has arrived. We went to dinner tonight and when we came out it was snowing so hard and the roads were horrible. I was driving Bob's truck and I had to stop and let him drive and he even had to use 4 wheel drive. I am so glad we will be out of here on Monday. Can't wait to see the gates of Chula Vista
