A note to our Chulavista friends,
Gene had a knee replacement three weeks ago seems to be managing but of course lots of pain.
We are sorry to tell you our friend Fred Blackmer had a mild stroke, around the 18th. He has a stint in his head and is doing, well speach is fine and knows everyone. Thank God!

Just getting into good weather here in Canada. Very noisy as someone is building a house on the street behind us. It will keep the bears away at least!! enjoying lots of cuddle time with our new grandson Quinn and watching the anticts of his 3 year old sister Chloe. I miss getting out everyday and miss everyone at Chula!

just a quick update on our son. Mayo's says that there was only one kind of cancer in the tumor not two but there were cells in the fatty tissue of the kidney so it may be in other parts of his body. The good news is that his kidney is working much better than it was right after the surgery. They are talking about him doing chemo by mouth. There is one of the best cancer centers in Houston so they are close to good treatment. We are very hopeful and still need all the prayers we can get for him. Thank all of you. It is getting better. Can't wait to see the new slide shows Renee. take care all.

 Well we went to bingo Tuesday Sue Janssen, Rita Vader and myself. I won 12.00 and Sue won 30.00.It was fun but we didn't get rich as you can see. Sun was finally out today and no more rain for awhile. Thank god for awhile I thought we were going to have to build an ark

 Well Sue and I and a couple other gals went to the casino today. We did not come home with extra money but we had a great time. Sue saw Dollie and Clare there but I didn't. They were just passing time on a rainy day. Hopefully they were luckier then we were. Fence looks very nice. take care

Sounds like a good time. My son in law just came back from Ruskin yesterday and he said it was pretty warm and humid. It was about 57 today but it was sunny so hopefully it will warm up this week

Happy Mothers day to all.... yes we stay busy. Its been in the high 80's rather humid... I am trying to get use to it again. Been swimming a few times. that is where we plan our activities . John, Janice and Mim was all down ther along with Gail Candy Connie F Lorretta, ted and marilyn we just thown out ideas and then do it! That is how chick flick started!!!

sounds like you guys are keeping busy. we are freezing up here today. the wind is really, really bad. happy mother's day to all. we are going over to our son's house and the girls ae going to set on the back porch and drink mamosa's while the kids and guys cook a brunch.
