2010 Census to Begin Cautions from the Better Business Bureau : With the U.S. Census process beginning, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) advises people to be Cooperative, but cautious, so as not to become a victim of fraud or identity theft. The first phase of the 2010 U.S. Census is under way as workers have begun verifying the addresses of households across the country. Eventually, more than 140,000 U.S. Census workers will count every person in the United States and will gather information about every person living at each address including name, age, gender, race, and other relevant data. The big question is - how do you tell the difference between a U.S. Census worker and a con artist? BBB offers the following advice: ** If a U.S. Census worker knocks on your door, they will have a badge, a handheld device, a Census Bureau canvas bag, and a confidentiality notice. Ask to see their identification and their badge before answering their questions. However, you should never invite anyone you don't know into your home. ** Census workers are currently only knocking on doors to verify address information. BDo not give your Social Security number, credit card or banking information to anyone, even if they claim they need it for the U.S. Census. REMEMBER, NO MATTER WHAT THEY ASK, YOU REALLY ONLY NEED TO TELL THEM HOW MANY PEOPLE LIVE AT YOUR ADDRESS. While the Census Bureau might ask for basic financial information, such as a salary range, YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER ANYTHING AT ALL ABOUT YOUR FINANCIAL SITUATION. The Census Bureau will not ask for Social Security, bank account, or credit card numbers, nor will employees solicit donations. Any one asking for that information is NOT with the Census Bureau. AND REMEMBER, THE CENSUS BUREAU HAS DECIDED NOT TO WORK WITH ACORN ON GATHERING THIS INFORMATION.. No Acorn worker should approach you saying he/she is with the Census Bureau. Eventually, Census workers may contact you by telephone, mail, or in person at home. However, the Census Bureau will not contact you by Email, so be on the lookout for Email scams impersonating the Census. Never click on a link or open any attachments in an Email that are supposedly from the U.S. Census Bureau

Hi all, I have been trying to get a good deal for the Wii. I purchased ours last Sun. at Best Buy for 199. it came with a extra Game CD and I bought Ins. for two years. We thought that was great so I have been pricing them for the Park. I went back to Best Buy to see if could get the same deal and they said no. OK I went to Walmart in Gibsonton to see if they had the Wii for the same price they said yes and we will give you one year Malmart warranty and a two year Wii warranty. (Great) That was tues. went home .Went to work at the attic fineshed there went to Walmart in Sun City to see if they had the same deal. They said no, it is only a 30 Day's for Walmart and a one year for the Wii, it would cost 39.99 for the year. I said I went to Walmart in Gibsonton and was what I told you. He said oh no there is no such thing you must be mistaken. So I told him OK than I am going to go back to Best Buy there's was cheapter. Well was going all the back to Best Buy. I took 301 down,I started to think I know what they told me at the Walmart in Gibsonton so I went back there first. It is a good thing I did because I wasn't dreaming he did tell they had a three year Ins. Not only did get it there it only cost us 234.21 the Wii and the extended warranty. Whew I stayed under 250. after all. Ha Ray Boo Hoo it cost me ten dollors more. BUT I GOT A FREE CD I did it Sue Catch ya all lateer. Jan

renee glad to hear you don't need neck surgery and hope you find someone to remove the wire. weather here as you know is rainy and cold with snow flurries expected this weekend. That should make people rush to Florida so Chula Vista will probably get real busy in the next couple weeks. We hope to leave around the 10th of December if not sooner

Following are the new Water Restrictions. They are in effect until at least the 31st of December. Please follow them to the letter, as we are told that they will be having inspections from time to time, especially in unincorporated areas of the county, which we are. Thanks.

Car Washing Washing of cars, trucks and other mobile equipment is allowed once a week. At a residential property, vehicle washing may occur on Tuesday or Saturday at addresses ending in even numbers, and Wednesday or Sunday at addresses ending in odd numbers. Low-volume methods must be used, such as fitting your hose with an automatic shut-off nozzle. Fund-raising car washes held on behalf of non-profit organizations are allowed, as long as water is used efficiently. Hoses must be fitted with an automatic shut-off nozzle at all times. Back to Top Pressure Washing Pressure washing of buildings or other structures in preparation for painting or other maintenance is allowed. Also allowed is the annual pressure washing of buildings, structures, driveways, sidewalks and other impervious surfaces as part of a planned maintenance program to either maintain a warranty or to prevent a “slip and fall” hazard. Washing or cleaning streets in preparation for a parade or other public event is allowed. Other than these instances, washing or other water-based cleaning of streets and other impervious surfaces is allowed only to meet federal, state or local health and safety standards, such as required dust control.
