Renee rsammons55@yahoo.com 11-28-2008 8:42:56 PM EST Hi Chula Family I hope you had a great Thanksgiving, I know we did. We went to MI so that we could have dinner with Brandie our daughter and Taylor our grandson. While we was there we was Hit with 7 " of the huge wet snow flakes on top of the 5" they already had. Taylor and Willie went out to Taylor's Blind and he shot a doe, so that made Willie's trip to see his grandson hunt. I stayed in the warm house and looked out side... I didn't get out much. I love the new memories, Family is great BUT It is nice to be home and going to sleep in my own bed.

Renee 11-10-2008 5:00:23 PM EST Ticket sellers are listed on the NOV. Calendar and at the mail huts Harold. L, Harriet W. and Marita S. The closest one to you would be Harriet on the same side of the street as you the house closest to the clubhouse. yellow ticket for sale sign out front. The reason we sell tickets to the resident and then give the money back is because this way they are committed to your dinner and you have a count to know how much food to buy.

Renee 11-05-2008 10:55:17 AM EST No matter how you voted, Yesterdays election was very Historical for our nation. God bless the USA.
Pat Z 11-05-2008 10:49:17 AM EST Hi Everyone!!!!!!
Well, if I can contain myself,I've got some pretty good news. As of today, plans are being made for Fred to go to a ReHab establishment nearby. By now, they probably have been made. He isn't going to the nursing home that we had hoped for. Since he is still using the respirator or BiPap part of the time, he has to go to a facility that is equopped for both. The average nursing home isn't. He will go to one about 31 miles from here.(Sharon,Pa) and about a 35 minute drive. A little less than half the distance to the hospital so still better. The move will be some time this week if there is a bed available. They have 2 beds that are equipped to take Fred. They didn't say if either were empty. The hospital is making the arrangements. After he is weaned off of the breathing assistance machines, he could be transferred to the local nursing home that we chose. He has been breathing on his own for 8 hours so he has a good start.
That's all for now. I will be staying at Davids starting tomorrow(Tuesday) I stuck around for election day. OK,EVERYONE! GO OUT AND VOTE! THEN, LET'S PARTY!!!!!
LATER,
LOVE,
PAT Z
sue j 11-04-2008 12:19:37 AM EST Glad to hear the good news about fred. wishing all of you continued good progress.
On a different note. We didn't wear any costumes but we were blessed with a new grand baby on Halloween. Our youngest son and his wife had their first child at 7:07 p.m. the 31st of october. We have a little boy. So we had a very good treat. It's a lot better than candy. All are doing well. Marie and I will working at the polls. So have to get up really early to get there by 6 a.m. Don't forget to vote.
Pat Z 11-03-2008 11:33:28 PM EST The surgery went well and he is doing well. He has no tubes coming out of his mouth or nose. I didn't go see him yesterday(Friday) because all 3 sons and family were going. I did go today and couldn't believe the change. He smiles a lot and is more willing to use the notepad and pencil to communicate. He had no pain when I was there today. The nurse was quick to let him know she had something for him if he started having pain. He didn't take anything while I was there. He just seemed happier and much more comfortable. The nurse said he had breathed on his own for 8 hours. They're trying to get him off of the BiPap and Respirator so he can go to his own room and to re-hab soon. 8 hours on his own is a big step in that direction. I am starting to get excited. He looks so good, it is hard to believe. I can't wait to see him tomorrow. I plan to go to Davids to stay a few days tomorrow. Gas prices are still dropping but I like being closer to the hospital.
We celebrated Josh's 21st. birthday this evening and he leaves tomorrow for a job in Virginia. This may be his last job before leaving for the Navy. We are sure going to miss him. So will Fred. They have a special bond.
Well, I guess that's all for now. Good news is much easier to deliver.
Hugs,
PatZ
