 We HAVE lots of flea markets.... Bradenton has red barn, Off of Fowler road is the Big Top, Palmetto has the midway. One of the largest Flea Markets in the state is in Busnell called Webster. As for thrift shops, Good will, The thrift store, Angel attic, plus a few more in Ruskin. In sun city everyone goes to Nearly New in the parking lot by dollar general, dollar tree, save a lot ect.

 I just got home from Tropicana Base Ball field. The Tampa Bay Rays won 3-1 against the Boston Red Soxs. Now we are the American League Champs. Wed. of this week we go to the WORLD SERIES against Philadelphia Phillies. Lets go Rays!!!!! Sweep!

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to our snowbirds, I hope you had a great summer.
The renovations to the Clubhouse are in full swing. As Renee posted, the clubhouse will be off limits while the contractors are working, which will be until 5:00 PM. After that it will be available for use. Mostly this is for safety reasons, but also so we are not getting in the way of the workers. It will be worth the inconvenience and hassle when we can work in the kitchen, without bumping into each other and getting into each others way, and sit out on the screened porch on a nice evening and enjoy the breezes and company of our friends. I believe you will all be pleased and proud of your face-lifted clubhouse. Thank you all for your patience while we make our "Paradise Found" even better!

So sorry to hear about Fred's set back. Our prayers are with him and his family. On another sad note, Marie's brother, Lawrence (Butch), passed away thursday.

Hi Chula Family, Fred was moved back to the Critical Care Unit this afternoon(Oct. 15) He is in pretty bad shape. He is on a Respirator. It is breathing for him. He is sedated most of the time. If you have time for a prayer,it would surely be appreciated. He needs it. Thanks.

I AM SORRY IF WHAT I WROTE ABOUT THE CLUBHOUSE BEING CLOSED WHILE THE CONTRACTORS ARE WORKING WAS MISLEADING... MY HUSBAND SAID I WAS WRONG!!!!!!! WHAT I SHOULD HAVE ADDED WAS AT NIGHT AND ON WEEK ENDS THE CONTRACTOR IS NOT WORKING THE CLUBHOUSE WILL BE OPEN!!!!!!! I PUT A NOTE ON THE WEB SITE ABOUT MY HOT DOG TUESDAY THAT MYSELF AND DAVE BOORSMA ARE IN CHARGE OF DURING THE SUMMER....I AM TRYING TO MAKE THE BEST OF THE SITUATION FOR THE TIME WHILE THE CLUBHOUSE IS GETTING DONE. Due to construction in the clubhouse, NO ONE will be allowed in the clubhouse while the contractors are working. So for the next 2 Tuesdays Oct. 21 and 28, Hot dog Tuesdays will be at the Rec Hall by the office. We will be grilling hot dogs on a gas grill. Cost is the same and time is 11:00am- 1:00pm. Hope to C U there.

To Shirley, We have Brighthouse and I pay $118.00 a month for cable, internet and the phone. I don't think that's unreasonable. Our phone is also long distance at no additional charges. Ask to bundle them together.

Save A Lot is in the Sun City Center Plaza on College or 674, next to Dollar Tree and Dollar General. The Post Office is in the same plaza also. I was impressed with Save A Lot because they keep everything clean and well organized for all the seniors in Sun City Center. Check it out!

What's the best internet, cable and phone service to subscribe to? Is it better (service and cost wise to "bundle" all three?) What's the average monthly cost? This site is so helpful, I find myself checking it every day.

While shopping at Save A lot last week, the cashier told me that an Aldi's is coming to Ruskin. We talked about where they might put it and it would make sense to put it in the old Bells store next to Big Lots. I hoping this is true and may very well be because Aldi's has just made it to Florida and they're sprouting up all over St. Pete and Tampa.

Hi, I talk to Nadine Baumert, They are doing better. Busy all the time kids, grand kids, and great grands in and out all the time. Harold and Diane stopped by and said that They both look great. Nadine said to say hi to all. Her kids are planning an 80th birthday party for her in Nov. I thinks we should shower her with love from the Chula family. Please send her a card before Nov 15th her Birthday. Also. Lets not forget other Chula Family who have moved out and on. Reach out and touch someone.

Hi Y'all,
Fred got moved out of CCU about 5:00 AM this morning into his own private room. They have been trying for 3 days to move him but had to wait for a bed to empty. He isn't all that much better but can use oxygen all day and use the Bi Pap only at night. He is getting nutrition through a food tube. They're not letting him have anything to drink. I hope that changes soon. They're giving him medication for the Atrial Fibrillation. I hope it works. He is getting so tired of being in the hospital. Me too. I am staying at David's(son) for now. Instant access to the computer and a firmer bed. Air mattress on computer room floor. A little hard getting up from but otherwise, pretty good. Plus I get visited by Rasputin, Dave's cat and Ginger, Alexis' Puggle. (Pug and Beagle mix) Kind of different to open your eyes and see green eyes staring into yours. (cat)
Fred is in room 827 B. Don't have a phone number yet. I'll get that when I go to visit. He is on Lena's floor but I don't know if he is in her end. I guess I'll know more when I get there.
I am fine,but like Fred, tired of not being home and the daily trip to the hospital. Thankfully, I haven't had to drive the distance from home every day. This is all I know for now. More to come as it happens.

LOVE THE PICTURES OF THE DECORATED HOMES. You guys are terriffic. I try to pack fairly light with a variety of clothing that can be used in a number of combinations. As Renee said, there is a Big Lots coming. I really don't remember any days that were freezing cold. We have been coming down from late November through to the end of March and the weather is usually very tolerable whether hot or cold. Hope some of this will help you out.
See everyone the end of November. Can't wait to see all of your smiling faces.
