MANAGEMENT CORNER
Well, summer is winding down, and soon our seasonal residents will be making plans to return. Then things will be hopping!
FYI, the Clubhouse will be CLOSED for FLOOR CLEANING from September 12th through the 14th.
We have been compiling a chart of who mows the lawns where. We have lists from all of the lawn care people that live here, but we have some blanks. If you have an outside person mow for you, or you do your own, please let us know in the office.
A resident who obtained a new hearing aid has brought the batteries for his old unit to the office, in the hopes that someone can use them. The batteries are #10, 1.45V. If you can use them, or know of someone who can, please see us in the office.
We had an incident this summer that highlighted the need to have up-to-date contact information. One of our residents had a break-in, and neither the phone number on file nor the listed emergency number were active. PLEASE, when you change addresses and/or phone numbers, inform the office so we can record the changes.
We also have some concerns about guests. Recently a trio of children was observed operating a golf cart, without an adult in attendance. The oldest child appeared to be about 10. This is not only against our rules, but also the law. It is the responsibility of the resident to inform all guests of the Rules and Regulations. You, the resident, are responsible for your guests’ actions. Please also inform your guests that other residents have a perfect right to object to any guests’ actions, without getting an attitude in return. This is their home, and the guests are just that and should act accordingly.
In case you have not yet heard, we will be bringing in 2 new Jacobsen multi-section homes shortly. The first one will be placed at Lot # 18, aka 1713 Wheelhouse Circle. It is a 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath home with a porch and box bay window on the front. The carport will also be placed on the front. The second home will be placed on Lot # 210, aka 1715 Gangway Loop. It is a 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath home with a Den as well. The carport will be placed on the side, on the existing driveway. The floor plans can be seen at the office. We are excited to see these changes taking place.
This section has been posted at the mail huts and on the Message Board, but I will repeat it here: There seems to be a rumor circulating that we are getting ready to retire. Let us put that to rest as of this moment. We are NOT considering retirement at this time, nor do we plan it for our immediate future. We know this news will please some and dismay others, but there it is. You are stuck with us for now. Gail and Chuck

We do not need a host for veteran's day, we will be having a program beginning at 10, following will be a flag presentation, following that will be having lunch, please bring finger foods for all to share and we will also be having potato soup come and enjoy the day and fellowship and honor our veterans hope to see a good turnout.

Chuck and Kathy Ondo closed on their house in Chulavista. We will miss them. Kathy said she sold her home up north after 45 years and it never bothered her. But she has been here a week before the closing and both of them, have been very emotional. People had been stopping by to say Goodbye. I said it is NOT the home, it's the Chula Family. I got huge hugs and they was told to come back and Rent, they would always be welcome! Kathy and Chuck said they will miss everyone, but they may show up to the MI reunions!
