Happy new year to all. we had a great time at the new years eve dance last nite. Lots of dancing and singing; maybe a little drinking and eating. great breakfast thanks to dollie and claire for hosting. And a great big thank you to those who helped put the hall back into shape. Good things happen whem we all work together.

Just a quick reminder that the new years eve tickets are on sale. The doors open at 8 pm and the music will start at 9 p.m. breakfast will be servied after midnight. the tickets are $10 or $12 at the door. Ticket sellers are Dollie Gilbert #268, Lee Eckman #279 and Dottie Steele #18. Hope to see you there.

Christmas dinner was wonderful turkey dressing all the fixings. I was called to the from for all the work I do for the park and received a giant poinsettia from Activities President Sue Burgett.

 Well Bob got a release from the doctor so we hope to be on our way to Florida on Tuesday. Can't wait to get down there. It is cold here but not a lot of snow and nothing in the forecast for the next week.

As I wrote earlier this week, Mom lost the vision in her left eye and is having trouble with her right eye. Her eye doctor said that she had had a "stroke" in her eye, but the medical people didn't seem too concerned and didn't discuss any medical treatment for it. So, we thought everything was fine.
Wrong!! Mom's speech became quite slurred yesterday, and with the confusion that she had on Sunday, we rushed her to the ER for fear she might be having another stroke. Sure enough, she did! She was admitted last night to Central Baptist Hospital, where she will be for several more days. A neurologist is coming in today to examine her and determine how much damage has been done. Upon release, she will come and stay with David and me until she can return to her own apartment - if that is even a possibility.
Please keep her in your prayers.

Jingle Bell Run/ Walk 2110 for the Arthritis Foundation. Team Chulavista landings from Ruskin, FL. Thank You to Dave Marger, From St. Petersburg, FL the managing park owner for sponsoring the walk. The Park LOGO looks great on the shirts we got. Also to all who donated Money and/or time walking the 1mile. There was 17 walkers. A special thanks to my bff's Gail, Sharen, Sandy G, Sandi K and Dee. I had the best 2 Christmas present ever, my daughter Brandie came down From Farwell, MI just to do the walk and I made it across the FINISH line with my BFF Gail at 59 mintutes and 14 seconds, to a Cheering crowd of my team holding up fiberoptic lites and yelling and Kate Mast hung a red, white and blue metal around my neck! God Blessed me with some wondeful people. Walkers: Renee Sammons, Sharen Bigham, Delores Denio, Linda Dwyer Robert Goddard, Sandy Goddard, Sue Janssen,
Sandra Kellar, Raymond Kubacki Jr.Brandie Larrabee, Araya, Linda Markin, Kate Mast, Linda McGinnis, Rolly McGinnis, Gail Raymond all walked.
