MENTOR REQUIREMENTS
●
Must be at least 21 years of age (same gender/sex as student)
●
Must be able to pass a background check
●
Must be capable of being a role model who demonstrates by example the types of life skills, work ethics, and attitudes needed to be a leader.
●
Must attend mentor training
●
Must Journal back and forth with student
●
Must make contact with student once a week (face to face a least twice a month)
●
Ensure student is turning in and keeping up with schoolwork and maintaining a 2.5 or better GPA
