                The Rapture!

What is the rapture? The word rapture does not appear in scripture for the event it describes, but the event is scriptural. The event is called resurrection day or the trump of God. So when ever you hear a preacher describe the rapture he is describing the resurrection of the dead or the trump of God. This event will happen some day and it will come upon a sleeping world which is not prepared for the destruction that will come during and after the rapture of Gods people.

Christ said that we are not appointed to destruction and pray always that you may be accounted worthy to escape the wrath that is coming. The wrath of God will follow after the rapture of the church. This page will go into detail about the rapture what will and might happen during this event and after.

also the scriptures that refer to the trump of God will give us light into what the rapture is and what we can expect during this great event that is coming very soon.

the first scripture describing this event is 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 which says,  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:

And so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. This is the Rapture, and the first thing that will happen is the trump of God shall sound and the archangel shall shout with a noise that will awaken the world out of its sleep.

Everyone that was ever born from Adam and Eve until the day of the Rapture will stand alive on the earth. Some to life and many to shame and death. Yes Adam and Eve will once again stand on the earth at the resurrection of the just and unjust.

The Rapture is a great event that is coming soon. But it is a day of terror such as the world has never known or will ever know again. Picture saints coming out of the oceans flying into heaven in the clouds of glory, but also the dead that were in hell, coming up upon the shores, naked and wondering at the strange event that happened.

Yes, everyone that is in hell will be resurrected upon the earth in a body like the one they had when they died, but not like the saints new body which will be spiritual, the bodies that the unjust will have will be with sin, and will be of flesh and not with immortality like the saints.

The unjust will have a physical body that can and will die again. Many may ask why would God resurrect a person from hell, give him a new physical body, and allow him to live again on earth, but also to endure the wrath of God that's coming? This revelation may be new to some, but it is of old and is scriptural.

For Gods word says that everyone good and evil will be resurrected at the trump of God. Everyone in heaven and everyone in hell will be resurrected at that day, I believe God is merciful, and by allowing everyone that was ever born to be resurrected in a physical body even after being in hell, and to stand once again on earth, even the wicked will have a second chance to repent, for if they are resurrected at the trump into a physical body, like the one they died in, they would have a second chance to repent and accept Christ. This may sound crazy to some, but if I am correct in saying the unjust will be resurrected in a body of flesh, not glorified, but carnal, they will have to endure the wrath of God, but if just one repents and accepts Jesus why wouldn't they be saved?

Remember the verse in revelation about the number of people saved during the tribulation period, it was without number by man, what better person to repent during tribulation than one that has heard about Jesus and has spent time in hell? It is something to think about...

I am not perfect in my knowledge of every event of the bible, but what I know I write. I believe that Enoch and Elijah the prophets of God will again walk the earth during the tribulation period. We can see proof of this by scripture, in Revelation 11: 3 - 12 which says,

And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophesy:

and have powers over waters to turn them to blood, and smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will. And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

To see that the two prophets are Elijah and Enoch, we have to look at all of the scriptures that show the two olive trees or candlesticks, one at Gods right hand and one at his left hand. It does not say any where in scripture who the two prophets are, so we must see all scripture and ask ourselves which two prophets are most likely the two olive trees?

It is also believed that the two prophets are Moses and Elijah. I used to also believe this and for one reason. In Matthew 17:1-3, we read about Christs transfiguration. Moses and Elijah appeared with Christ. I believe that Christ wanted two figures that Israel was familiar with, rather than have Enoch, which hardly anyone could possibly be familiar with as he was the seventh child or son of Adam and Eve.

I also believe that Christ was not trying to show us the two prophets of the tribulation period but confirm to Israel who he was and by having the two greatest prophets in Israels eyes appear with him was all the confirmation he needed.

The reason I believe the two olive trees of the tribulation period are Enoch and Elijah is this, Enoch and Elijah are the only two people on earth to go to heaven without dying. God said that it is appointed unto man to die once. Seeing they lived and never died before the resurrection God would be a lier if these two never died.

So by Gods own words we must assume and know that the two olive trees that walk on earth during the tribulation and unleash the most powerful acts of God ever seen by man, who better than Enoch and Elijah who have walked beside the Almighty God for thousands of years.

Yes they die at the end of their work for God, but they are the only men on earth to have never died, and unless you are alive at the rapture you must die. For scriptures relating to the two prophets turn to Zechariah 4: 11-14, which says, Then answered I, and said unto him, what are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

And I answered again, and said unto him, which be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? and he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said no, my lord. Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

The rapture will take place first, everyone that was ever born will be resurrected, I believe that Enoch and Elijah will be resurrected at this time and in a physical body that can and will die. I believe that their bodies will be sinless bodies like the body Jesus had on earth, we know Christ had no sin yet died.

I believe that they will be the reason so many come out of tribulation saved, a number no man could number, their message and works will save countless souls for Christ and their deaths will be like Jesus's death, but their lives will be used by God to pour out his wrath upon this world.

At the moment the rapture takes place the world will hear a great trumpet sound, it will be unlike any trumpet ever heard on earth, for it will come from heaven, and it will be loud! The whole world will hear it and it will wake the dead literally. It will be accompanied with a voice, a great voice, the voice of the archangel of God, the archangel of God is Michael.

This angel will shout at the last trump and the whole world will hear his shout. Have you ever shouted and thought, a lot of people heard that? imagine shouting and the whole world hears you.

At this shout and trump every soul that has ever died on earth and went to heaven or hell will stand on the earth at this time. So there is a day coming in which every single person that has ever been born on earth good or evil will at one time stand alive in a physical body on earth. There has never been a time like it and there shall never be another time like it.

The dead in Christ will rise in a glorified body and then we which remain and are alive, meaning we who are still alive and have never died will be changed into glorified beings and with the resurrected saints ascend into heaven to be with Jesus.

The saints will ascend as Jesus ascended in full sight of his enemies, and the world. We will not just vanish into thin air, but in full view of the whole world like Jesus. The walls and ceilings of this world will not hold us down. We shall go through them like spirits but in full view of all that look upon us. We will leave our cars, our trucks and motorcycles etc. while driving on freeways, side streets, and country roads.

These vehicles will drive out of control into walls and obsticles that will  kill many worldly people that will be having their worst nightmare come true. We will leave airplanes while in flight, as pilots and passengers. Worldly passengers will have pilotless planes flying them into hills and buildings etc.

We will leave ships and boats while sailing, leaving worldly passengers on board to sail into shore crashing into docks and rocks and other ships etc. We will leave this world in every job, area and avenue, in every nation and state, we will leave great and small, rich and poor, but we will leave.

And when we finally leave this world we will be going first class all the way to heaven, the stewardesses will be the angels of God and the pilot will be our Lord Jesus himself. We will leave for a seven year vacation to a place Christ said he was going to prepare for us, so it will be a special place that has many mansions.

Get ready for this event called the Rapture, it is coming and very soon. I want to be ready for it at morning, noon, evening or the middle of the night. And if you are not saved and would like to be a part of the rapture seek Jesus with all of your heart and confess with your mouth Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved and you will be included in the rapture!
