Got this one today just trying to take advantage of what time we have left. Going after smelt tonight if you have never tried it though the ice its cool. Ya we are those crazy one's you still see out on the ice actually some of the lakes have more ice than you would think. I would take late ice over early ice anytime. pete email@example.com 02-15-2013 1:22:02 PM CST

Was not able to get out last weekend. Did anyone find any Perch? Just wanted to post this pic. Has anyone been up the Joe south of I/94 lately? I heard earlier this summer that it was to shallow at the gravel bars to get south. I know some very good spots south of I/94 for steelies when they are in. If anyone has info that would save me a long drive.
Thank ya much Charlie B 09-29-2012 5:43:03 PM CST

Had to move and look for them all day they did not stay put very long. Anywhere from 20' to 60' did our best in 28' to the south. Charlie B 09-03-2012 8:03:50 PM CST
Another good weekend for perch had to move around and search for them. We got 42 keepers Saturday, 50 on Sunday and limited out on Monday lots of sorting. Just remember what my dad always told me just because there are a lot of boats in one spot don't mean that's were the good fish are. Its just a good place to start. c. shells 09-01-2012 5:11:00 PM CST 61 nice fish today. Reply to Pyle's Porthole: Thank you for replying so kindly. Glad you had success that day. You may have been the only boat that did. We were one of the early boats that gave up about noon. No one was catching perch with any consistency, only gobies and the occasional catfish.
Been fishing all my life, so I am well aware of the challenges of perch fishing on Lake Michigan. We've been the boat that gets skunked, we've also been the boat that limits in 2 hours. Because of the long drive and expense, I was just hoping for a halfway accurate fishing report. But then again, I was also hoping for a halfway accurate weather report. :) Sorry to offend you.
