To Curtis, yes we do. My dad was Curtis Christopher Colegrove and his dad was Howard Colegrove and he is actually buried in West Virginia.

Hello everyone! Please keep checking the website for new updates, new changes, and new information regarding another cemetery clean-up at Betsy Layne. I am currently organizing a funds location for donations to help further with another clean-up. I am expecting this clean-up to be way more involved than the first. Our first clean-up was a great success, however, I am looking to remove all of the dead, fallen, and damaged trees and vines. I am looking for a tree company in the local area of Betsy Layne KY to assist with that removal.

Hi, I happened across your site from a link which gave the history of town of Betsy Layne. My great grandmother Mahala Jane Horton was born in Hatcher's Landing, Floyd, KY and I have been attempting to locate exactly where that is located. I have narrowed the area down to Harold, KY but then knowing that in 1870 they lived in Laynesville PO, I picked up on the Layne name. Has anyone ever heard of Hatcher's Landing...I know there is a Hatcher Branch of the local river but am not sure exactly where it is located. I would appreciate any info and appreciate all those that helped get me to this point in my investigation. Thanks, Carol

I have found Jeremiah and Ardelia Colegroves headstones in Grayson, Carter County Kentucky. They are both in bad shape, as the cemetery is over-run with weeds. There are also other Colegrove's in this cemetery, which I believe is Plummer Cemetery. I was able to locate and photograph: Jeremiah (J.M.) Ardelia, Jessie, James, Margaret Louise and Oliver Colegroves headstones.
