Please join us as we celebrate the harvest season with our traditional Harvest Home dinner
at Plymouth Congregational Church on Friday, November 8, 2019.
The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.

The evening will feature music by the Plainfield South Royal Court Madrigals.

The Harvest Home Dinner began at Plymouth Congregational Church in 1963
to raise funds for a down payment to purchase the meeting house.
The event then became an annual tradition, either at a local restaurant or,
in later years, here at our meeting house.

We are requesting that everyone bring a dish to share.
Sign-up sheets for the potluck are available in the East Room.

Please see the Harvest Home Food Signup page on this website
for a copy of the insert included with your letter.

We will be passing the Joash Box after the meal.
The Joash Box tradition comes directly from the teachings of the Old Testament.
King Joash, seeing that repairs were needed to the temple,
placed a chest with a hole in the lid near the temple gate.
The people came and deposited their offerings in the box to help maintain their place of worship.

The Harvest Home fund is traditionally used for projects to maintain and improve our meeting house
beyond what our yearly budget provides.
An offering envelope is enclosed for your convenience.

If you are in need of transportation, please contact one of the committee members.
We’ll be happy to give you a ride!

If you don’t have an opportunity to sign up at church,
