Holding to the Biblical
traditions of faith...

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.   (NIV)

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.  (KJV)

Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.   (NASB)

No matter what Bible version you read,
James 1:27 means giving of one’s time and talents to others.

Plymouth Congregational Church has re-initiated our James 1:27 Project
and encourage members, friends and families to participate.
When there is a 5th Sunday in the month,
that Sunday will be dedicated to the James 1:27 Project.
We will meet at the church at our normal service time for a shortened worship,
after which we will break up into groups with various assignments.
These assignments consist of:

Visitation to members, nursing & rehabilitation homes, assisted care living , etc.

Helping others with various needs at their homes

Working on various project needs at our house of worship

Even though we have set aside the 5th Sunday for this work as a church body,
the James 1:27 Project should be an on-going commitment, a daily commitment.

If you would like to be a part of this ministry, have a need or know someone that has a need and/or visitation request,
please let us know.
