RE:  Nicollet Friendship Days 2017 June 16 - 18 June

On behalf of the Nicollet American Legion Post 510, I want to invite your business to participate/advertise and/or support the town’s 3 day Nicollet Friendship Days.  In the past, the entire greater Nicollet community supported and was involved with Friendship Days.  We want that involvement to continue.  We thank those that supported the celebration last year.

Friendship Days proceeds go to keep the Legion Hall open for such community events as benefit fund raisers, school functions such as the FFA Breakfast, 4-H Dinner, Girl/Boy scout meetings, weddings and many other community events that need a large open hall.  Many of these events the rental charge is waived if it is for a school or benefit event.  The proceeds also pay for such children & youth events as our free bike give away on Saturday and Sunday nights, the kiddie tractor pull on Sunday, and our Miss Nicollet Queen program.

This is a great opportunity for your company to advertise in our grand parade that draws up to 3,000 spectators or sponsor/donate to one of the weekend events such as:  The Queen program, Antique Tractor Pull, Demolition Derby, Kiddie Tractor Pull, bands for the grand parade, the Sunday Raffle drawing or the Saturday & Sunday night kids bike give away.  The city park, Mid Way Rides, food & drink stands are open all three days.

  1. Event sponsors are those that donate generously ( $ 500 – 1,000) to a particular event and will be listed on the area wide advertising posters,  ads and thank-you’s.
  2. Generous Supporters are those that give a cash or prize donation of $ 200 or more and will be listed on the parade handout and public thank-you.
  3. Raffle Ticket supporter are those that donate money or merchandise to our raffle.  Raffle drawing is Sunday evening at 6 pm in the city’s center park.
  4. Parade participant or general supporter are businesses or individuals that want to advertise and participate in the parade or just support it. Donations is $ 55-100.
