TRANSFORMATION
RICHMHOND!
NOW IS THE TIME FOR COMPLETE CHANGE
What and who is VENTURE RICHMOND that it takes precedence over the citizens, the taxpayers, the children of the city of Richmond?
Venture Richmond is a name change from the Richmond Renaissance which was established in 1982, for years after a 7th grade educated black man changed the history of Richmond by taking the City of Richmond to court over fair representation of the city's populous. This man's name was Curtis Holt who lived in Creighton Court. He thought it not fair that white men who did not live in black neighborhoods should speak for black people. As a result of his fight and the white lawyers who stood with Holt, the council elections were suspended for seven years and when they begin again five black persons (a majority) held seats on council to represent the citizens of their districts.
The Richmond Renaissance supposedly was set up to marry the voice of the citizens to provide leadership. However, the choices for membership of this group has always been the black elite boule and the rich white boys--choices that do not make up the larger community of caucasians and Negroes who live in Richmond. Therefore, both groups are being deprived of leadership that truly represents the will of the people.
EVERYBODY IN VENTURE RICHMOND GETS PAID SOME OF OUR
$700,000,000
AND THE TAX COLLECTOR IS ALLOWED TO STEAL THE CITIZENS AND CITY'S MONEY. OUR CITY IS PROBABLY BANKRUPT!!!!!! Venture Richmond is comprised of the newspapers, the television stations, the elected leaders, the business people who do not live in the city, the colleges and universities and they control the people who control our $700 million. We must make a drastic change and remove this sore from our land. STAND TOGETHER AND DON'T GIVE UP. WE MUST SUPPORT OUR CHILDREN AND OUR SCHOOLS.president of the Democratic Party pretends to work for the city by calling himself an outreach worker. Jeffrey Bourne, chairman of the school board has a wife who works for the city in economic development. IT'S ALL ABOUT OUR MONEY FOLKS!
Don't be fooled about people sying they are democrats. The head of the Richmond democrats is JJ Minor who "work" on economic development as a community organizer. Jeffrey Bourne's wife also work there..how rich they must be. He works with the attorney general. The 206,000 "gift" to former prisoners was allowed to help the democratic party win the election for Virginia. Why wasn't in done in Tim Kaine's administration? Let's stop them from dividing us by race and party affiliation. We all want the same things--a good job, a safe place to live and great education opportunities for our children.
