"Ray A. Lingelbach, 37043884. Technician Forth Grade, Headquarters Battery.  For outstanding meritororious conduct on 19 February 1943, near Sbiba, Tunisia, North Africa.  During heavy hostile shelling of the battalion command post,  Technician Fourth Grade,  at great risk to himself,  remainded at the post at a vehicular radio, although there was a foxhole close by. At no time during the shelling did he lose contact with the radio net. Tech Fourth Grade Lingelbach's coolness and devition to duty reflect great credit on the Armed Forces of the United States."
