Abial Granger Family Moves to Bremer Co. Iowa

In the fall of 1854 and early 1855, the son Ebenezer Granger went to Iowa in search of farmland for the Granger and Marsh families.

After his return on 22 Feb 1855, he married Olive Marsh, born 10 March 1834 in New York, the daughter of Alvah and Hanah (House) Marsh.

Later in the spring of 1855, the Granger/Marsh families decided to move to Bremer Co. Iowa, since by then all the children had married except Charles M Granger, who was seventeen and living at home.

Abial Granger made a Little Red Album of his children and brothers/families before leaving DeKalb Co., Illinois. This Abial Granger picture taken at that time.
