Why KFC ? P!nk was outraged when she found out that KFC tortures chickens in ways that would result in felony cruelty-to-animals charges if cats or dogs were the victims. Birds have their beaks cut off when they’re babies and often are crippled for life and scalded to death.

Why did you become a vegetarian?
I went vegetarian when I realized all the abuse in the world. Some how it needs to be stopped and maybe I can be the start of something big.
Is it ok to eat meat?
The true and honest answer is no. This is an opinion question in almost everyway, but if you look into it you will see that eating meat is wrong.

To them—and to most conscientious people—oppression is oppression, no matter who the victims are, so when we asked stic.man to share his thoughts on KFC , human rights, and animal rights, we knew he’d have a lot to say—and more importantly, we knew you’d want to listen.

A vegetarian since the age of 16 and a vegan for the last 11 years, stic.man feels very strongly about corporations, like KFC, that target black communities with their cruel, unhealthy food and only care about making money at anyone’s expense. And he’s right. KFC refuses to make simple improvements in the way it treats animals. PETA’s undercover exposé of KFC’s suppliers shows how cruel and disgusting the conditions are for these gentle birds. They’re crammed into windowless sheds reeking of ammonia and feces with tens of thousands of other birds; many are so crippled that they can’t even walk, and they suffer from painful procedures like debeaking and live-scalding. And at a Moorefield, West Virginia., slaughterhouse , we caught workers who were slamming live chickens against the wall, throwing them around like footballs, and stomping them to death—and laughing about it.
Stic.man and M-1 both signed our petition asking KFC to eliminate the worst abuses that chickens suffer in the factory farms and slaughterhouses of its suppliers. Now it’s your turn to speak up. There are lots of things you can do to help , but we suggest hitting the streets, like those in front of your local KFC, for example, with some leaflets and a petition to let KFC’s patrons know just what they’re paying for—that is, if they still decide to eat there after hearing from you. Minds will be changed, and lives will be saved. We can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon.
To help you get the word out about what happens to animals before they reach KFC restaurants, we’ve created printable “poop flags” reading, “KFC Treats Animals Like Crap.” In case it isn’t clear what you’re supposed to do with these flags, just follow these simple instructions:
Step 1) Go here to download and print a sheet of the flags. Using your top-notch cutting skills, cut one of said flags out along the solid black line.
Step 2) Attach your flag to a popsicle stick, a pencil, or some other flag pole-like object, and stick it in some doggie “business” on the sidewalk in front of your local KFC for everyone who passes by to see, or package up some poo-with-flag and mail it to KFC.
Why do this?:
For the animals. That is why. They are being abused and nothing is being done to stop it. You can even go veg. It is easy.
