I give you my own personal testament that since a young girl I have believed in God & our Lord Jesus Christ.  It's my belief that they are 1 trinity in 3 personages (the father, son, & holy ghost) I look at our Heavenly Father to be a benevolent  and compassionate God, that we all have hope and that with God all things are possible.  Last fall of 2005, I'm pretty sure I had an instantaneous experience in my home.  At the time I was very depressed & emotionally upset over troubles with my boyfriend. You see friends, I've been unhappy a good portion of my life and entirely fed up with my lifes circumstances. So I kneeled down to pray. And basically in so many words I gave thanks, repented my sins & told God I was willing to give up anything in my life I needed to give up - even my bf.  I prayed that I cared more about getting right with my Lord God then anything else in my life.  Unlike any other prayer I ever said before in my life I instantly felt so relieved like a big weight was lifted off of my shoulders.  I felt this overwhelming feeling of peace wash over me.  It was unbelievable how wonderful I felt those moments after I said that prayer.  I think since then I may have waivered some from the thing about giving up everything for I feel as if I've actually given up not a thing really.  It is true after saying this prayer, although not because of it of course, I did lose my bf due to his breaking up with me almost overnight and over no good reason in early Jan.  He broke my heart to pieces.  I'm pretty well over now.  Sometimes I think back about him and I sort of know I still love him but it's over and don't believe it was meant to be or is something that can be fixed unfortunately.  As far as serving God I think the important thing is that we are willing to give up things not that our loving father in Heaven really expects us to.  Of course I don't know for sure.  That's only a theory of mine and I might be totally off the mark in saying that.  I hope I'm not.  I would like to think that is the way it is.  I realize that I still fall way short of the glory of God for I've a long ways to go in my Christian walk.   Please feel free to email me if you like at finehorizons@hotmail.com , thanks.
