I will probably be shutting this site down before Easter, b/c I (and all of us), need to better look for ways to serve our Lord and the community. It has been my hope when I created this site, (Lord willing), to get our Commanderies off their butts and into the battlefields of winning souls for Christ (as our purpose states), but I feel that I have done just about as much as can be done without the direct help of our commanderies and fellow knights; and will now focus my thoughts on more directed roles of serving our Savior. *My biggest blessing has come from many non-templars visiting my website and asking for info on Christ, Bibles, etc. I truly hope that this has helped, (all praise to our Lord). --Templarly is a Christian Fraternity, and I hope that those associated with it, do remember that. Okay Templars... *One last time, I am going to push at the begining of 2008, b/c I feel the Lord would want us to ONLY use Templary as much as it benefits us to giving glory to Christ, spreading the Gospels to others, and serving those who need us; so here goes: I'm not sugar coating it anymore, because that has obviously gotten us nowhere, (much like our baby-steps approach to membership has not), So what I say, I say with the utmost respect; Templars! Get out of the Lodge Halls and into the battlefields! We are a Christian fraternity, and our very purpose is to spread God's grace and the "defense of the Christian Religion," (as the Grand Encampment says in it's own documentation); Our pledge of warfare against the deceits of the world is not allegorical but is VERY real, and for our lifetime!!! Let it be proclaimed that this warfare is not defensive, but aggressive! The righteous and benevolent influences of Templars and of our Commanderies is needed everywhere." (pgs. 7-8 Charting the Course, an official communication by the Grand Encampment) --I would say that with thousands of poor people dying everday that are unsaved, but have come into contact with us, what are we doing? What are we doing against groups such as the ACLU, extreme political correctness, and Radical Islam (which as you can see doing any type of research on Christian persecution, our Christian Brothers in other countries are being martyr'd left and right for their faith. Where are we and where is our fraternity on this?? We can do something about it, form committees, and make our presence known again, [which will bring others to join our ranks], or we can just say "boy this guy is to fired up, let's just sit around and do nothing at our next meeting though, b/c we're safe and it feels more comfortable." The choice is yours brothers... "Be men of courage; be strong." 1 Corinthians 16:13

As you can see from the above graphs; we will be to just over 500,000 Masons by 2020 and approximately 60,000 Knights... It is time for a change; because it is obvious that if we continue to do what we have been doing, WILL lead to our extinction. (Currently 41% of our members are 70 years old, or older) -I have spoken to many, many young men who are very eager to join Templary, *But they are interested in joining an "Active" Templary, not one that just sits and goes thru the motions every single meeting... I was born in 1978, so I know first-hand what today's young adult is looking for, and that is Brotherhood, *but "active" Brotherhood.

ctive Brotherhood still equals great degree work, but it also equals doing what the Grand Encampment tells us and I quote: --> “We must reconsecrate our Cause to Christ and the Christian Religion with all the sincerity we possess! Our Christian character demands that we plan a project for the good of the community and something constructive and unselfish which will earn the respect and appreciation of both our members and the general public." (page 7 & 20 of the Grand Encampment's "Charting the Course")

This means getting out into the PUBLIC and becoming ACTIVE! --We have all taken oaths and obligations to do such endeavors already when we went thru the York Rite degrees; and this IS the entire purpose of Templary in the first place. "The Defense of the Christian Religion," is what our Grand Encampment says in Charting the Course. Jesus said himself in the book of Matthew:

25:35 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 25:36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 25:37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed [thee]? or thirsty, and gave [thee] drink? 25:38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took [thee] in? or naked, and clothed [thee]? 25:39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
25:40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.

Was it my imagination or did God instruct us in James 1:22 that we were to–"be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." I don’t think I was imagining that. J

So how do we start? ---That is what is so great about our organization; there is no ONE SET way. –I am listing on my website 10 unique fields to assist Templary in getting it’s heart back, Honoring God and spreading his light to all of those around us while raising membership at the same time. I will even help any that contact me either financially or by contacting the right persons or groups to assist in whatever endeavor you or your commandery might be leaning towards. –Then hopefully, Lord willing, you may also develop similar Committees to carry our Work forward, and in doing so, help others and so on and so forth. ***Trust me, if we do what I am suggesting , we WILL:

A) Do what the Lord has asked us and Bring Glory to Him by doing what he has asked us throughout the Bible.

B) Get the Blood flowing in Templary again and retain and stimulate current membership.

C) And by stepping out into the Public, many MANY young men like myself that I have spoke with, would gladly join and be very active members in a Brotherhood that both puts on beautiful Rituals, BUT also Active in the community doing God’s work to help whoever needs it.

People love being active. Have you noticed “race for the cure,” for example? There are millions that want to take part in something ACTIVE; and today's young Christian man and Templar candidate is the same way. *So my question is why not? What I am suggesting is what we have all already promised to do in our York Rite obligations, the Grand Encampment asks us to do throughout their documentation, it WILL increase membership I assure you of that speaking as a young adult in my 20’s, it will give us concrete goals and by increasing our membership; it will give us more funding to support our charities.

So my point is simple; VOCALIZE. Get out in the public, set up a booth at a fair or in a wal-mart parking lot; ask your commandery members to use a portion of your money raised thru dinners or dues to support a local or non-local missionary trip, a trip to assist a poor or disaster hit community with re-building houses, a food bank, a humane shelter, a prison, a homeless shelter; the list goes on and on, but by making it a MUST, to do at least two of these events per your Commandery every year, you will both stimulate your current membership and get MANY new recruits I promise you that. –Send flyers out or ask church members or friends to go with you. Then when you’re asked, “What is this all about?” You can say Templars! And tell them how they join, then BOOM, they tell their friends, and they tell their friends, and we are helping those in need, bringing those who are lost to light and doing what Jesus asks us to do in Matthew 28:18 says, “Go and make disciples of all nations,” b/c perhaps these people we meet have never had a chance to get introduced to the Lord?

--It is right there in front of us. All we have to do is enact it, and we will have another huge surge in Masonry and Templary again. But we have to do IT, and I can not do it alone Brothers… Hopefully my web-site will give additional ideas for this as well, (to the left numbered 1-10). -Please contact me for help or any guidance you might need to get started.

Are we acting more like Noah during the flood, or those mocking him? --Think about this... We have the Bible as the Lord's word and record today, but how many people pass it off like Noah was passed off on thousands of years ago? (How many of us go thru the motions of church and our commanderies, but that is it? (no offense meant)) --Matthew 24:38 tells us: "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." Are we going about our day to day lives, without being fully prepared? I pray that we all will be prepared my Brothers and Sisters, and NOT be deceived by the traps of Satan, who hopes, as in the days of Noah; that we will be trapped outside of the Ark, b/c we were not fully prepared like we knew we should be...

"Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him." -Matthew 24:44

*I leave you with another old story that I'm sure you are all well familiar with. (but with a new "twist") --Just like Lot and his family fled from the sinful place of Sodom, we too will find ourselves having to leave a place of sin. (City, neighborhood, place of business, an old hangout, internal sin that we have not been able to let go of, or whatever it may be.) --But we must make a clean & complete break from this life of sin. There is no "middle-ground" on this subject. We must leave sin behind us and focus on Christ. Or like Lot's wife, who just had to look back at the city, even though they were told not to; was turned to a pillar of salt - we too must turn away from whatever sin we are still hanging onto, and not "look back!"

Abraham knew that his nephew was making a big mistake when Lot chose to move his family to Sodom. The cities of the lower Jordan valley were beautiful and lush, but they were also very corrupt. "The men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly." Genesis 13:13. Finally, God decided to destroy these sinful cities for their abominations, but first He sent two angels to Sodom to rescue Lot and his family.

Before entering Sodom, these angels took on the appearance of two wayfaring men. Lot saw the two handsome strangers when they first entered the gates, and knowing that the streets of that wicked city were far from safe at night, he urged them to find refuge in his home. But wicked men were watching, and that evening they gathered about Lot's door and insisted that he bring out his guests so they might abuse them. Lot tried in vain to reason with the perverse mob gathered at his door. Their demonic obsession only intensified, and soon the crowd began to threaten Lot as well! At this point, the angels could no longer conceal their true identity. They pulled Lot inside the house to safety and struck the maddened mob at the door with blindness.

Early the next morning, the angels told Lot and his family, "Escape for your life! Do not look behind you. ... Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed." Genesis 19:17, NKJV.* "Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven." Genesis 19:24. Only Lot and his two unmarried daughters were spared, for his wife looked back to Sodom with longing and was turned into a pillar of salt. God's Word tells us that in the last days, world conditions will resemble that of Sodom-and so will the punishment!

Scenes like the below are getting more, and more disturbing... Why do our Islamic brothers feel like "violence & hate" are the ways to best answer anything? Why not look instead towards "peace & love?" --Either way, we will "see war and rumors of war," during the last days... Does things like this mean now? Probably not, but are you really prepared to take that chance? The time for getting your life right with God, and accepting Christ is now my brothers... Let us pray for all who need it, including those confused souls that are following the teachings of "hate & violence..." For the first time perhaps, I really think we are living in the "end of times" my friends. So it is imperative that we do everything we can to prepare ourselves and all those around us...

Templars... Please...Let us put Christ before all else. Let us use our Christian fraternity to reach those souls still needing to hear the gospels. Instead of just doing degrees, please use your commanderies as Christ as instructed us, for Christ's Glory, and within the edicts of our own Grand Encampments' directions in "Charting the Course," (as listed in the Mission Statement portion), please just consider the following in doing work for 2008 within your commanderies and communites, b/c while we are saved by Grace, we are judged by works: Matthew 28:18 says, “Go and make disciples of all nations,” and:

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad." - [your call "Templars..."]
